2023 Community Health Initiatives

We are so grateful for the opportunity to make a lasting impact in our community.

Thanks to the generosity of our donors and close collaboration with our partners at The Community Foundation of the Eastern Shore, Tidal Health, Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital, and Atlantic General Hospital, we were able to successfully implement the following initiatives this year:

• Extended medical support to uninsured and under-insured individuals

• Facilitated specialized transportation, including ambulance and car services, for patients requiring care beyond the region

• Responded to the urgent need for hospice patient care by providing emergency heating assistance

• Enabled home nursing visits to support elderly patients in the comfort of their homes

• Ensured reliable transportation for cancer patients, covering the cost of gas during essential travels for specialized treatments

• Supported maternity patients with the provision of 10 car seats and play yards

• Assisted a patient in need of four weeks of intravenous antibiotics at home by providing prescription medicine

• Offered compassionate support to grieving families, aiding with burial and end-of-care expenses

• Provided passes for the Bay Bridge Tunnel for patients or their families following ambulance transportation

• Addressed basic living needs for a veteran by supplying essentials such as towels, mattresses, and sheets
